According to a report released from the Congressional Budget Office, the DREAM Act will increase tax revenues by $2.3 billion by 2020 and reduce the deficit by $1.4 billion. The above link is to the actual report.

Kay Hagan has told us that she wants to protect tax-payers. Now she can do that by voting for fiscally responsible government through the DREAM Act.

A story from yesterday in the Huffington Post reports that Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) believes that pointing to this benefit obscures less-favorable reports from the CBO on previous versions of the bill.

True as that may be, the Senate won’t be voting on previous versions of the bill, so King is blowing smoke out of you-know-where in hopes to distract everyone from the obvious: that S. 3992 is fiscally responsible legislation.

Call 1-866-587-3023 and tell our elected officials to vote with reason. Call Hagan, Miller and Kissell and tell them to get moving.
