We’ve recently gotten word of a scam in Charlotte, NC stating that the deadline to apply for Deferred Action is February 28, 2022 and to go visit their office for help. We want to make it perfectly clear that this is FALSE. USCIS has NOT released any deadline to apply. Applications carry deadlines because an updated one is released by USCIS every few weeks. If you need assistance on your Deferred action application, go talk to a licensed attorney, NOT a notary. If you have trouble finding an immigration attorney you feel comfortable with, email us at dreamteamnc@gmail.com. We may be able to point you in the right direction.

As a Community Leader “heading the charge” on issues like this, a mistake of this magintude should not be made, and you should not be so harsh on the Dream Team because protecting the DREAM Youth, like themselves, is their ONLY mission.

One thing to keep in mind is that we all found out about this, because they tried to take an ad out in a local latino newspaper and they were denied. The paper immediately contacted other activists to let them know.
Let us hope that this was truly a mistake and not an attempt to defraud the community.

no ad was taken out you found out because people like this posting up things and not telling them of their mistake…. neither did they try and put an ad out in newspapers…. have any of you ever worked with jesus ministry or gone to speak with them one on one about their organization?

jesus ministry has always helped my family and they community around us. So many negative people want to lash out at them right now but I want to let people know jesus ministry has been here for 25 years fighting for immigrants long before any other organization stepped in.

take it up with, maudia, tita. there is no deadline for DACA and maudia is not an attorney. it’d be one thing if she were giving out true information, but this is not. no lashing out here, just calling it like it is.
